It is with deep sorrow that the African Centre for Justice and Peace Studies informs you that the founder, Executive Director and dear friend, Osman Hummaida, died of natural causes yesterday on Thursday 17 April at Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa. His wife Azza, sister Nadia and friend Mohamed El Hassan were together with him.
We are sincerely sorry to share news of this indescribable loss and share our deepest condolences with his family and many friends around the world. He cannot be replaced. With determination we will hold his inspiration near to us and continue the fight for human rights, peace and justice. His family will soon announce arrangements for the funeral.
